Welcome to Front Range Veterinary Clinic

From an early age, Dr. Shufflebarger knew that her love of animals would lead her to a career in veterinary medicine.  She grew up with dogs, and fostered many cats and kittens throughout veterinary school.  Despite being allergic to most animals, she was determined to pursue her dream.

Dr. Shufflebarger received her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.  She received her doctorate of veterinary medicine in 2008 from Colorado State University, where she was a member of Phi Zeta Honor Society.  She practiced in Colorado Springs for six years, but was excited to return Fort Collins, where she grew up. 

She enjoys all aspects of general practice, especially internal medicine, preventative wellness care, soft tissue surgery, and end-of-life issues.  She lives with her husband Jason, children Emery and Landon, cat Geek, and a German Shorthaired Pointer mix named Peyton (named after Manning of course).  She enjoys hiking, biking, tennis, and snowboarding.

Dr. McCarthy is a Colorado native, originally from Greeley, but now thinks of beautiful Fort Collins as her home. She grew up surrounded and loved by many pets and knew at a very young age that she wanted more than anything to become a veterinarian.                                                                                    

She completed her bachelor’s degree at Colorado State University in 2012 and subsequently graduated from the veterinary medicine program in 2016. One of her passions is caring for our communities’ homeless pets, so she completed a yearlong internship in shelter medicine at Denver Animal Protection following graduation.

She is very excited to now have the opportunity to be home in Fort Collins and work with the awesome veterinary team at Front Range Veterinary Clinic.

Her partner Brad shares their tiny home with two adorable Golden Retrievers, Willow and Magnolia, and three “meows” named Flynn, Satchmo, and Jello. Often, they will also have a few other furry little creatures that they foster to complete the gang. For fun, they love going camping and hiking, spending time in Old Town, and curling up with all of the fur-kids at home to watch a movie.

Dr. Woodford is a Denver native.  She attended the University of Washington in St. Louis where she obtained a BFA in painting and art history.  Following a decision to make a career change, she returned home to Colorado where she obtained an MS in Toxicolology as well as her DVM from CSU. 

Dr. Woodford loves taking care of furry patients at Front Range Veterinary Clinic so they can live their best and happiest lives.  Her special interests include acupuncture, geriatric medicine and surgery.

She spends her free time with her husband, Reed, and their animal children- Beard and Winkles. You can find them updating their old house, playing in the garden or traveling in their adventure minivan (Lucille).
